Moth Night in Memory of Victor Fazio III

to 30 Jan

Moth Night in Memory of Victor Fazio III

  • Wherever you want to put up your moth sheet!! (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

This is an EntSocVic supported event,

Many of you will know the name Victor Fazio III. He was a well known figure in the world of moths in Australia and was very active on iNaturalist, where he was a prolific contributor of observations. At the same time he gave up a lot of his time to help ID moths uploaded by others, and to support a new generation of moth enthusiasts.

Unfortunately Vic passed away recently but his legacy remains which is evident by the many avid 'mothers' on iNaturalist.

To remember Vic a special event is being organised that you can take part in, where we are asking you all to setup your own moth sheet and light on one day (or many days) between Friday, 20th January, - Monday, 30th January, 2023, and upload the moths you see to the iNaturalist project below. We hope you can all get behind this event and remember Vic!
